Knowing one’s history

Nancy Jamall had one goal - for her triplets to know more about their history. Celebrating Kwanzaa helped her teach her kids the power of their past, so they could embrace their future to their fullest potential. Kwanzaa Days is a peek into what motivated Nancy to start the practice of Kwanzaa for her family, and how her and her husband bring pride and purpose into their family’s holiday season as Muslim Americans.

Growing up, the practice of Kwanzaa helped Kalilah feel connected to the holiday season.
